The University of Mauritius (UoM) is a full member of the Association of African Universities and is located in Reduit, Mauritius. UoM dates back to the 1830’s but was formally constituted in 1965. This year UoM celebrated 50 years of existence. It boasts of the following faculties and centres – Agriculture, Science, Engineering, Law, Management, Ocean Studies, Social Studies and Humanities, Information Technology & Systems, Innovative &Lifelong Learning, Biomedical and Bio-materials research.
This week UoM was hosting the Second Edition of History Week 2015 (10-13 Nov 2015) – featuring exhibitions on the cultural heritage.
