A new partnership programme for collaboration between Africa and Norway has been announced. The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) has launched this new funding scheme for collaboration between higher education institutions in Norway and selected developing countries.
The Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART) will support close academic cooperation and mutual student mobility between higher education institutions in Norway and the partner countries, based on common academic interests and strategic priorities of the institutions. Student mobility through academic partnerships is a core element in the programme, with emphasis on the mobility of Master and PhD students from partner countries to Norway.
NORPART will fund five-year projects (2017-2021), with a maximum allocation of NOK 5 mill. per project. The application deadline is 5 September 2016.
Applications should be prepared jointly by the partner institutions in Norway and developing countries. A list of 39 potential partner countries is included in the Call for applications. For more information and a link to the Call for applications, please visit http://siu.no/norpart and http://siu.no/eng/For-the-media/News/Funding-for-cooperation-between-Norway-and-developing-countries
Please do not hesitate to contact SIU if you have any questions regarding NORPART.
